The Darkest infusion

herbal liqueur infused with absinthe

The liquid legend

Originally produced during World War 2 by Gaetano Inga to show hospitality to the German Officers who had commandeered the Inga family residence in Serravalle Italy. Gaetano was requested to produce a herbal liqueur which reminded the officers of their homeland hunting liqueur. Inspired by the hunting theme, Gaetano used many different herbs in his recipe including Artemisia Absinthium (a herb usually found in Absinthe which derives its name from the Greek god of the hunt-Artemis).

Rotweisser is best enjoyed ice cold as a digestif, as an ice cold shot, in cocktails or mixed with an energy drink.
